Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll be checking out of this mess now, it's only going one way. Enjoy the game lads.

I agree. Only just logged in and have seen that this thread is a disasterpiece already. Fairly pathetic all round. Both clubs have some sound fans and both clubs have some ar*ehole fans. I'll just leave it there and not partake any further.

Going to open this again when the willy waving is more likely to be about football at least.

Thread open again, enjoy. No more taking people on here to task over the actions of random strangers in the stadium please.

Carrick and Fellaini in midfield together is just too slow to work.

Don't know why utd fans are so negative. They have beaten this liverpool side fairly easy at old Trafford last few years. 15/2 is a great price to qualify

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Can see us passing them silly until they are even more confused than they are already.

You've got a 2 goal lead. Why are you so negative?

Because I'm nervous as **** to be honest.

Tony V on the bench in the supersub role, comeback of the century is on baby!

A frantic high octane start by united followed by a sucker punch leading to a tepid one nil win to liverpool.

Ye have been playing better than ye have since Suarez left.

We have been playing worse than we have in 25 years.

The mentality of both squads is poles apart.

As I said previously, barring an absolute capitulation from LFC or a miracle performance from us, the tie is over.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Milner, Can, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge.

Milner at RB and Clyne LB it looks like.

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Varela, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Rashford

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

At what minute will Michael Owen come out with something like: "Man Utd need to score if they've to have any chance"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

The noise will be deafening but not as deafening as the silence when we score.

The palace game was shocking. I really don't know how liverpool won the game. Do you really think a 2-0 would take a miracle at old Trafford

  • United being the underdog to qualify may actually be a good thing. I hope at least we go out with a bang

Pressures on Liverpool not to let this slip

I certainly was not willy waving, as I would take somebody's eye out with it,it's that long.

gotta say,im just as intrigued which liverpool team turns up as to which utd team turns up, utd fans know they have a chance just dont want to say and are all doom, pool fans know they have a chance too and are just as worried lol

Quality wise,it's like two bald men fighting over a comb.

    That's where both teams are.

Very interesting stat. Liverpool have failed to lose any game which has ended with them leading.

With the way we have been playing in the main, then yes, scoring two or more and not conceding would be a massive achievement.

Was wishing and hoping we could turn it on tonight but no way I can see that tonight with out line up.

Our midfield is awful. Very slow and no Herrera at all.

Fear for us tonight and so glad I bought beers earlier

Are you Michael Owen in disguise?

The stunned silence in Old Trafford when the opposition stick one in is my favourite thing in sports.

If ManU score early it could go poorly for Liverpool.
It could inspire some sort of atmosphere in Old Trafford & the onslaught would ensue.

Tbf Herrera has done **** all the last couple of games

Can walks into tunnel and gives Klopp a big hug in front of LVG. No way does any united player hug LVG.

    Used to be stunned silence.

Has turned to resigned silence in the last three seasons.

Did I just see a banner "Manchester, European capitol of trophies"?

Yes, the cheek but it's not as wrong as it seems - it doesn't say "Manchester Captial of European Trophies" which would clearly be a nonsense,
