    Hi all,

I have an Apple laptop which is less than two years old but more than one year old. I bought it new directly from Apple Ireland.

Since I've had it, it has been repaired three times for the same issue. It has now reverted back to the same fault and remains unusable again.

All three times the repairs were carried out by authorised Apple service repair agents under 2-year warranty.

I am not one to complain but it is becoming extremely frustrating now having synced all my data back and reinstalled my apps (every time) for it to fail again.

I would like to know what my options are in this? The laptop cost more than €2000.

    Thanks

    BD

Exact same issue? A replacement or a refund so. Any repair needs to be permanant.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah the same issue, well the computer shows the same error message/indicator every time.

I will get onto Apple Ireland.

Replacement or refund definitely at this stage.

Just FYI, your two year warranty is somewhat meaningless. Paying 2K+ for a laptop you can reasonably expect it to remain working for 3/4+ years. Under Irish law you have 6 years to get redress for any problems.

If worst comes to worst you can make a small claims court application.

    Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to make a claim in the small claims court for 2k if my laptop cost more than 2k?
I would not be claiming for the 'full amount' so to speak? This would be easiest option for me at the moment.

    Thanks

I would be almost certain yes

Just to update this - Apple gave me a brand new latest spec Macbook Pro retina (new unit in sealed box with all accessories - not a refurb).

Once someone at Apple was assigned my case number things moved quickly. The customer service provided was excellent and is definitely the best I have experienced from any company to date.

    Cheers,

    BD
