Butland out for Courtois probably. Take advantage of the Villa game before I play the wildcard next week.

Probably the same for me. I was annoyed because it was "stopping" me from replacing Sigurdsson with Willian.

I currently have Ozil, Mahrez, Alli, Payet, Aguero, Kane and Vardy. So I would be very unsure who to bench for Willian.

I see Given is red-flagged, anyone know if he's fit to return? I wonder will Stoke have to play Haugaard, it could make Sigurdsson a good option anyway.

I'll probably do this too along with Fabregas in for Silva. 1 week punt, may as well gamble on Chelsea.

Given is back in full training but has no gametime for months. Hard to know which option Hughes will go for.

    Lukaku out this GW

Who to bring in is the big question. Welbeck Giroud Rashford Martial or Vardy
    Already have Kane and Augero

With Everton's double game week next week im bringing him back in. but cant see him scoring big at Old Trafford

Just checked the stats - he's never scored at OT. Got a hattrick against them for WBA a few years back, but never scored against United for Everton.

I am having a hard job picking 4 of my 5 mids
I may well bench lukaku now after reading this !

I'm wildcarding next week and have 1 free transfer this week. Looking at doing something like van Dijk out for Cresswell. I think the Hammers have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet home to Crystal Palace. Cresswell was also very impressive against Chelsea.

I am also considering a hammers defender strongly
cresswell is a full million more than the others but he was whono was buying due to his attacking threat
but then I looked at his attacking points .......3 assists all in first 10 gameweeks
    1 goal gw18
now I don't know ! could use that money better elsewhere I think. may even go for Adrian yet as I have Elliot for 35 anyway

    Hart and Butland injured.
Have one FT and need a goalie.
    Thinking Kasper Schmeichel.
    Thoughts?

Why not Mignolet? 2 dgws and no blanks. No brainer for me at 4.9

Lads, Have Schmeichel and he is doubtful? Did anyone here anything?

    As for transfer
    Lukaku out Vardy in

Tempted by 4 point hit for Silva to Ozil/Payet?

    Taughts?

Butland and Elliot crocked. Have to use one of my transfers now.

shawcross out for the weekend too. may well keep siggy now and sell Arnie or even Willian instead!

1 week punt before the WC

    Courtois for Butland or
    Willian/Fabregas/Payet in for Siggy?

Reckon Courtois is a guaranteed 6 points but the others might not beat it, opinions?

Need a keeper before next weeks wildcard. Butland to Courtois/Ospina/Adrian? Have Ivanovic already. No Bellerin.

Cech could be back for the weekend so I'd avoid Ospina. Adrian looks the best bet if you don't want to double up on Chelsea.

Willian or Fabregas for a one week punt?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 858 ✭✭✭mectavba

Confused as to which thread to post this as it is important to this week and DGWs.

This weeks sees me in the final of a ff cup worth a few quid. So I want to use my wildcard to put out a strong team, while still being in good shape for DGWs. Still in contention in a money league, plus have an overall ranking of exactly 60,000 to try and improve on.

    Wild card at present is:

    Adrian (Robles)
    Gabriel, Sagna, rojo (clyne, Delaney)
    Ozil, mahrez, payet, Willian (firmio)
    Aguero Kane welbeck

    Kane > lukaku week after

This leaves me with 13 dgw for 34, 9 for 35 and 7 dgw for 37, without making any changes.

Welbeck is the big punt I'm taking. Also relying on Gabriel taking his place. I fancy Arsenal to give Watford a beating now they have nothing to play for.

Any advice?? It's not too late to change it all back!!

I think putting Firmino in a WC right now is a risk since he could have a set back with the hamstring injury or Klopp could ease him back like Coutinho. Also not a fan of Sagna/City defence without Kompany

I've seen Gabriel in a lot of teams. How solid a starter do people expect him to be?

There was a pic put up somewhere (there's a lot of threads) in the past few days which showed he has started every game where available. Mertesacker seems the third choice when all three available.

As an Arsenal supporter, the only ones I'd have great faith in playing DGW34 and GW35 are Cech, Bellerin, and Kos. I can't stretch to Kos so am thinking about taking a flier on Gabriel, it's his place to lose imo and Wenger tends to rotate more once there's nothing to play for and if we're still in FA Cup

I'll have a root around. Was he really unavailable for 15 games though? It'd be so ideal if you could take in Arsenal defensive coverage at that price but with 2 games in 4 days could you trust that Mertesacker wouldn't get a game in there?

Starting to build for the doubles.

    Forster -> De Gea
    Kompany -> Jagielka

Any suggestions instead of firmino? Also concerned about their Europa league involvement. Can't believe I'm suggesting this but lallana? Is coutinho back to full fitness?

I agree re Sagna. He is in at the moment as my opponent in the cup has him and am fearful of city getting a clean sheet. May move to azpi but then I will want a dgw back in for him, which Sagna is

I'm planning to use Bolasie as a placeholder, but if I were going for a Liverpool mid now it would be Coutinho. Lallana seems to be hitting good form, I'm considering him

Don't know why you wouldn't go for Oscar. He'd be my choice ahead of those two.

He looks fairly nailed on. He has been first choice since Mert got a red card against Chelsea I think. Wenger doesn't like or need to rotate defence now. If Gabriel starts this week he's starts DGW.

He seems to get less minutes than the other 2 though.

Coutinho is the safest choice for now. Given that it's hard to choose between the two maybe leave it til last minute but if you need to transfer one of them in right now then only Coutinho is an option of those two. You are not mad for considering Lallana only because I'm considering him too.

Just had a very quick look and seems any minutes missed were down to injury and with Hazard out he looks certain to start. He should play behind the striker too.

looks like I'll get Adrian in for Elliot anyway and keep forster as he has a nice game next week but much more importantly 35 as well! because of that I'll then need to chance either Gabriel instead of Bellerin or else one of the cheaper united defenders instead of smalling when the time comes

I posted it. It shows that since Mert got sent off a couple of months back every time all three of Kos, Mert and Gabriel have been available Gabriel has started.

Rotation worry and new manager bounce!
It's not like Chelsea are up to much anyway

    Adrian in for Hart.

    Dullest transfer ever!

I think I'll be doing Williams and wijnaldum to Gabriel and payet.

    Head melted....

Dunno whether bring in Coutinho for Firminio and drop one of Arnie\Siggy

Or sell either Williams / Wooly for Ivanovic

Not happy having so much Stoke and Swansea in my team and fancy Liverpool to score a couple against Spurs (and lose)

    Will be wildcarding next week

    Cheers for any feedback

Wasnt planning on wildcarding this week but now I have Butland, Elliot and Toure out. 2FTs, so no biggie to replace them.
