Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has to be Randolph despite his lack of acton, sunderland look likely to pull away.

De Jong coming on, maybe he'll actually contribute something to the team, but I doubt it.

Elliot's a far better shot stopper IMO, Randolph's distribution is better (that assist to Shane Long against Germany was beautiful) but Elliot could save us a few batterings against the big teams we're up against. Regular first team football is very important too, which he's had.

There just isn't a goal coming for Newcastle unfortunately. Sad to say but it's true.

I was just thinking the same. Who is going to score for them? They just don't look like scoring.

    *cue 3 late toon goals*

Won 1-2 from 1-0 down away to Spurs early last season so no, it's incorrect.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Fair play to the toons; I just couldn't see them scoring. They barely threatened all afternoon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Greatest celebration ever!!

Martin Atkinson is an awful ref. He's deliberately picking on Mitrovic now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

Where's the free they both go with the shoulder Atkinson gonna make sure there are no more goals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Mitro was about to take a lump out of the ref there until he remembered he was on a booking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

    HOW is that a foul?!

It looks like lights out for him here now

Time wasting scruffs. FFS Atkinson get them moving it.

Proper warrior, you'd win the league with a team of Mitrovic's

That's a season saving result today. Two weeks off to prepare for the next game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

9 unbeaten with 6 wins for Sunderland against Newcastle now. That's crazy considering how little there is between the teams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

    Good point in the end.

Really can't predict who goes down now, though Norwich were dead and buried but now it's three teams fighting for 17th place, and two will go down.

Every game is a cup final now for Newcastle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 568 ✭✭✭Tomagotchye

Still think they needed to win that. Dominated second half but we just dont score enough to counter the goals we will always give away

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Man i love mitrovic, the sort if guy youd go into a war with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,306 ✭✭✭BobbyPropane

Absolutely ****ing devastated with that result

If Mitrovic got tackled and his leg was hanging off, he'd rip it off and beat the shīt out of you with it. Proper lunatic. Love him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Not over yet for both teams. The international break is the best thing to happen for us anyway. More time for Rafa's gameplan to come together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Good result for Norwich, that. Plus they're on a bit of a roll at the moment (drew with us, and beat the Baggies)And the Toon are to go there next. Interesting.

  • Registered Users Posts: 506 ✭✭✭D_turbo

Mitrovic is a player that really cares..
    Great equalizer.

Needed a win but I'll take the draw.
    Sissoko has to be dropped

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Mitro celebrating with that fan was the best thing about that game. :D
