hi i transferred money to a friends bank account but I learned after i had pressed send that the bank account had actually been closed. that was Friday the 18th. the transaction is still on my account summary and the amount has been deducted from my account. surely this should have gone through if the account was closed?…

Good Afternoon Caff94,

Thank you for getting in contact with us here on Boards.ie

When you make a transfer to a closed account, this should automatically bounce back within 5 working days. As you made the transfer on the 18th this should return to your account by the 30th of March. This is taking into account the extended Bank Holiday this weekend.
