I think they may need to add in more ways to obtain Chroma. If your only getting 3 a week from the free Sterling Treasure's, and your not into spending cash for the silver to buy from Eververse, you'll just have too many items requiring Chroma and no chroma to utilise the feature.

3 pieces or gear a week (possibly, if you dont get any Desolate gear), 3 weapons from Variks a week with CoE, and then the possible Chroma enabled gear from faction packages, the chroma aspect will forever be lagging.

I opened 2 packages.
Package 1: Helmet + 2 Chroma.
Package 2: Gauntlets + 4 Chroma.

Got 1 only that contained 1 gloves and 4 chroma (one of each) but most importantly I got that nasty chroma grimoire cleared up.

So did the following last week and ended up with all 3 characters 332+ with a selection of weapons for PvP and PvE keeping them 330+ (so for anyone interested in how hard/easy it is to level up)

Good Loot:

3 Nightfalls
3 Full Hard KF Raids (all 5 Checkpoints that drop loot including 3x Golg challenge)
7 or 8 Trials Gold packages (had 3 from the week before and ran about another ~5)
~10 Faction Rank up packages (had some of them near levelled up before the update)
3 Crucible Weekly Bounties
3 PoE 42 Challenges

No Loot

3 PoE 41s (for Quest)
3x The Story mission and Court of Oryx
Killed a bunch of Vips in Patrol while hungover

That is pretty much all the ways of getting 330 and 335 gear EXCEPT for going to the Lighthouse and Iron Banner.

Apparently all of this took about ~26+ hours over the 7 days (so 3 hours a day on weekdays, 6 hours a day Sat and Sun)

Needless to say I kind of "rushed" it.
But Kings Fall is giving some serious drops now, even the normal mode stuff makes decent infusion full for some of your B-Tier stuff since it's up to 320.
Plus the ability to do a Trials gold Bounty each day on each character was a bit of a "Gimme".

The game is a breeze now to get to 320+

Interestingly enough, now when I go home there is a slew of ways to continue.
Do i knock out the NFs? (no, no I won't cause of those mods)
Do I grab my Shaxx weeklies and start those?
Do I do my PoE41 and Crucible weeklies for Sterling Treasure?
Do I do Kings Fall?
Do I do PoE Challenge?

I logged on yesterday to get the three sterling packs. The division was in the PS. Said ok I'll knock off the dailies and then put on Destiny. Was joined by a guy I had met on Sunday, than got an invite to another group, left them to get my dailies done and was joined by a dude I hadn't seen since Modern Warfare 3. He was a level 12 with no access to anything so I agree to power level him up or a while. Finally got my dailies done and realised I hadn't eaten. Got something to eat. Next thing I know I'm in work and forgot to get the fecking sterling packages.

Its great aswell, some of the hardest stuff to get you to 320, high level ghost/class items/artifacts are all easy enough to get once your LL start to go up. Court of Oryx/POE lv42 runs can net you a lot of gear.

I've gotten 8 bits of Spektar Armour (all of which I THINK were from Treasure packages) in every instance these have been for the character who collected/picked up the Treasure pack. So it's highly likely that if you want armour for a certain class that you should use that class.

It seems a bit like the way decoding exotics work.

I have tonnes of Warlock spektar gear asa result of this now

I got armour for my Warlock on my Hunter. So it's not class specific.

Yeah, I'm not saying like 100% of the time, same way you get Exotics on your Warlock for Hunters etc, but it does seem weighted.

I mean unless I was just extremely coincidental and got 7 for 7 on my Warlock opening Treasure.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 75/25 or 80/20 chance split weighted towards the class you are.

I mean if it is, then deffo worth using the class you want the bits for, if not, then no harm, no foul.

Still have NO taken armour atm though.

On the 7 I've opened with the Titan, 5 have been for him and 2 for the Lock.
Of those 5, 4 have been Spektar (incl. 2 gloves) and 1 piece of Desolate (also gloves), so an 80/20 split sounds about right.

My returns from the sterling silver has been very similar. Got my first desolate armour last night.
Last night, in the chat, we were talking about friendly fire when playing CoE with someone in full desolate gear esp. with the Taken rounds. Badass had an almost full set of gear last night and he got his fair share of grenades tossed at him!
