However when I removed packaging what appeared to be the bottom cover of the filter/heater housing appeared broken. I'm pretty sure it's not important as there is a another cover further up the housing. First pic shows the broken…

Hi Folks

I'd say it's okay to use but if you bought new, why not contact Juwel / the shop for a replacement?
