Watching lightning maps.org here and it's striking just near kilmichael point on the wex/wick border and more to follow from the Irish sea.
Just about to hit land now between courtown and kilmichael point.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,559 ✭✭✭pedigree 6

The place to be looking at it on lightning maps is courtown.
Should be good coming into darkness now.

It will survive the journey inland Id say but depends on how narrow

Constant lightning visible here south of Arklow
Courtown must be getting the works
Only drops of rain here nowas the black literally stoos in front of me

Don't know how you did that as the road up is closed with the wind mil construction, the storms are quite a good bit Se of there anyway, current storm is drifting further away from my view now

Aye,all quiet now,,lots of lightning in a narrow area around Tara hill to courtown area east of Gorey with some north of that on its edges
A weakish enough Welsh import that seemed to fire up as it headed out over water Ie the Irish Sea
It's gas how Those imported ones track over the same area,I've often seen them track in around that exact same area

Cork and Kerry could get some action in the next few hours, temps/dewpoint not as high as expected though.

Convective cloud building and darkening now here in Tralee and less blue sky to be seen , good clear spells earlier and got up to about 18C. Feeling humid.
