Not a night for sailing the boats to Holyhead. IFC took a direct hit a while ago, Drogheda probably due in 30mins.
That sound map looks something like a ufo invasion from Independence Day

That thunder is banging tonight! Genie mac... it keeps going on and on... it's not scary at all... it's very annoying actually :p:pac:. And a couple of lightning strikes here and there... I haven't recorded any of this kind of weather in a very very long time.

Very dark clouds above and very humid in south central Dublin. Distant thunder is constant reminds me of when I was in Orlando a few years ago!

My sister is on the Ulysses, no impact, just a great light show

I'm disappointed that there has been a non-show further south in Dublin, but I wasn't expecting anything, to be honest.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,711 ✭✭✭John_Rambo

Calming down now, but an excellent light show! I'll try and put up a few vids if I can.

    Actually, it's picking up again.

I'm in Dublin 12 and am still seeing the sky lighting up quite a bit and I'm facing West, only a few low rumbles though. The dogs can definitely hear more than I can - going nuts!

Very disappointing in Lucan. Nothing. So much potential. I doubt there will be anything else tonight so maybe tomorrow might bring renewed chances.
