    That storm is over my parents place at the moment. My mother says there was hail a little smaller than golf balls about 30 minutes ago.

    Yeah, some cells currently entering the Irish sea, unlikely to be active much if they do make it across but one to keep an eye on.

    Valid for Sunday 1200-0000hrs


    Area most at risk - North of a line from Wicklow to Galway.

    Discussion : After morning showers clear , midday temperatures reaching the high teens accompanied by dewpoints in the low to mid teens will create some reasonable instability of a few 100 Jkg-1. With shear profiles in midland areas being quite low ( <20knts ) . Storms will be less likely to be widespread and long lasting. However, isolated relatively large hail, flash flooding and lightning will still be possible.

    The situation will be monitored closely from midday tomorrow and will be updated if need be.
