Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Folks got a new dual mass flywheel and clutch about 18 months ago, I think it might be gone again. Reasonable to expect it to be covered? 2010 Focus tdi

What mileage has it done since being fitted.

It all depends. Did you get genuine parts fitted? What kms since fitment?

1 year would be the norm. Even genuine Ford parts only have a 1 year warranty.

I think that may be changed now to 24 months in the last two tears or so by EU legislation.

It's 15 months and 14,000 km since the flywheel & clutch were replaced.

Symptoms are a kind of loose knocking noise on start-up and shutdown (but while running seems ok).

I've been told this is a normal diesel engine sound, and not the flywheel starting to go again. It's more the kind of sound I'd expect from a small tractor starting up.

I've haven't been driving a diesel regularly lately so maybe I'm unused to expected sounds.
