Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have some feral cats around the farm, to keep vermon under control.
I've noticed one is scratchinh a lot and has taken a good bit of hair from its side.
I'm thinking it's some kind of parasite (Mange or lice).
Anyone know of any good all in one medication I could put in its food?

Good for you for wanting to take care of your ferals - they are worth their weight in gold for the work they do I suppose.
Really, you should be looking at (1) wormers (2) flea/tick controls. These are usually separate medications. You should give (1) to all of your cats, and no point in giving (2) to only one cat - if one has fleas the rest of them will have them too. If its Mange you need to talk to your vet to arrange a treatment - first the vet will need to determine if its mange which is not usual in cats - but mites will have the same sort of symptoms. I think your best bet is to talk to your vet, and get all of your cats treated. (they will need to be done 3/4 times/year)

If it's fleas, you can treat with Comfortis tablets from the vet. One tablet per cat. They are about €10 each.

If it's lice, you would have to trap them and spray them in the trap with Frontline, which is for fleas and ticks, but also kills lice.

If it's mange, only option would be to trap them and put a spot-on such as Advocate on the back of the neck. It's more likely to be fleas or lice, though.
