Just looking for some information in relation driving into the city centre from the N4 direction this evening. It has come to my attention that there are significant traffic restrictions in place around the city and the traffic could be quite heavy as you approach Heuston station and on the quays itself. Given that today is an official bank holiday, essentially a Sunday, and the bus lanes at St John's Road West and Wolfe Tone quay are Mon-Sat, is it ok to use these bus lanes today?

Edit : Just noticed the other thread. Apologies mods. You can add this post to it.

Bus lanes can only be used outside the times specified.
St johns Rd can be hit and miss regarding traffic .

Ok, was under the impression that a bank holiday was treated like a Sunday. As a matter of interest, can you get caught on camera for this offence or does a Guard have to pull you over on the spot? It's not a penalty point offence.

Today is neither a bank holiday or public holiday.

Heard on the news that there will be a cordon from the North Circular to the South Circular Roads for Sunday and Monday.

Can residents access (drive to and from) their homes if their house is inside the cordon?
