help needed tv sound

will try and keep it short ,just invested in sony bravia tv kd49x830xc,have panasonic surround sound sc-pt450 and sky hd box all are connected through hdmi cabels sky working perfect but when i play netflix only tv sound no surround i can only use digital optical from tv no connections on surround .so thats out have a dac…

The panny has an rca (aux) on the back so if you use an Optical to RCA Link you will get sound. Word of waring - it converts to stereo so no direct 5.1 you will need to rely on the panny to fake 5.1

Sadly other than that buy a new AV amp / bluray surround sound.
