I'm very interested in getting a bearded dragon and after doing some research online I see that they need over 50 gallon vivs or over 4 ft long and 2 foot wide. I'm having trouble even finding any that size online, can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, how much should I be expecting to spend on a tank, outside of lights and accessories etc?

Make your own if your handy with a saw and wanna save a few € etc and I reckon minimum size for 1 Bearded Dragon is 4x2x2, if you can go bigger by all means do. Reptile Haven and Petco in Dublin can order you in flat packed 4x2 vivariums in a few different finishes if you dont want to make your own one. A Uv starter is about 35/40, a uv tube light is about the same, go with a 10.0 one, the Arcadia uv tubes are the best on the market I think. A bask light fitting can be done yourself with a light fitting/cable and a plug use a 100w white one as BD's like it warm and bright. After the vivarium and lighting all you need is some decor, cork bark or big logs etc are available in almost any petshop.

I found a pet shop that specialises in reptiles in Cork thats a bit closer to home I'm going to ask them about a viv during the week. If it's much cheaper to build one that's what I'll do so I may report back to you for a few ideas. Thank you

My fella is in a fishtank, just over 4x2x2 and seems happy :)

We added the heat lamp, uv lamp, then bark, a basking stone, and a few other bits.
