Finding Out About a Solidier

A gentlemen from my neck of the woods fought in The Rising. I am sure they never kept records for obvious reasons but is there any way of knowing what role he had, where he fought etc? Perhaps a charge sheet?

Bureau of military history website is searchable by witness statement, if you have his name.
