I belive that the plan for Naas credit union to open a branch in Newbridge may be delayed indefinitely and may even be cancelled as there are several objections lodged with Kildare County Council to the propesed development of the former Mc cabes public house in the town.

Most applications for building anything anywhere gets objections - mostly they are dealt with by rejecting them or putting in a condition.

Quite normal for 4 or 5 objections.

You'll also get "affected" newbridge credit union people making objections out of spite - those types are easily identified and usually ignored.

Some people also will put a "notice party" objection. They don't object per se, but wish to have an option to make appeal to an bord pleanala is they deem it required - usually these are people whose properties are very close to the site and they just want to protect their properties in cae of anything untoward.

Technically they are "observations " as they can be also in support of a development.
