    Hi all
    Long story ....
Have Citroen Xsara Picasso '04 1.6 HDi
Intermittent ENGINE FAULT become permanent and car drop in performance so decided to investigate, and after reading codes found:
    P0489 - EGR "A" Control Circuit Low
P0182 - Fuel Temp Sensor "A" Circuit Low
..and some other " Manufacturer specific " ...any way after erasing/resetting codes them two came back.
Did service on car: oil filter+oil, air filter, fuel filter(BTW: Fuel Temp Sensor NOT present, wire is just ported in empty slot on filter) and also spray cleaned MAF sensor(used "electrical contact cleaner" spray - no touching or wiping)...and it worked - light gone + performance back.......til next morning.
Along with ENGINE FAULT light car tend to stall on cold engine( run fine when in full heat ), so EGR valve
Found it stuck in "open" position
Cleaning mechanical part didn't help as the fault in the actuator, so i just blanked it to check relation to stall problem - problem resolved.... to the point...as i got "ESP/ASR NOT FUNCTIONING" message on dashboard now along with ENGINE FAULT.
Code from "P0489 - EGR "A" Control Circuit Low" changed to "P0406 - EGR Sensor "A" Circuit High"
    obviously need to replace EGR
Question is : Could ESP/ASR light be related to EGR valve fault?
So please, any advice would be appreciated

Feel like talking to myself but probably no one come across this before...

So got EGR from scrap yard (70euros) and replaced it.

Magic happened and "ESP/ASR not functioning" message disappear. Cant understand what relation to EGR it could possibly have but fact is the fact. The "Engine Fault" light disappeared after error code reset and not showing for now(hope it will stay like that).

If that helps to any one - you welcome.
