Paul and Niamh were at the ceremony.
I think I saw a clip of Oisin talking to Charlotte at at the reception near the end. I'm fairly sure I saw Pete but I think he appeared and disappeared in about two seconds!

I didn't see Paul, Niamh or Oisín but I did see Pete sitting at the table with Orla and Wayne and some complete randomer! I also saw Sally who I had forgotten even existed.

Isn't Wayne a gas man. He sees something bad is about to happen between Greasy and Trigger yet he sends Dan the wheelchair man outside to deal with it!

Did anyone else think Trigger was gonna kill Carol?

It was ridiculous! Dan was at the bar ordering it seems ,he approaches him " there is a fight breaking out, wheel yourself out there and sort it out". He immediately then takes Dans place in the queue and buys a pint!! A very strange way to skip the queue!.

Ram doesn't do weddings anymore. Commitment and love are not in his vocabulary.

Even crashing the party for the bridesmaids was pointless. One was a lesbian, the other was .....Ama. ;) Ram has stramdards .

Did Caddle have a bleedin bridesmaid. Any of the Meehans invited? Its always nice to keep in touch with your late husbands family.

Ps, loved the line when Caddle was "on the phone" to Tracy who said she couldnt make it. "what do you mean you will make the next one"!! :D

Also a bit short notice for Tracy, eh!!

Robbies shoes looked a bit on the casual side for the suit. Zumo and the white socks. The ballatyne grounds are way more impressive than the friggin hotel itself. Where were the hotel managers.stocking the vending machine or polishing the gym.

I was wondering where it was filmed. Outside RTE?

There was one scene at it looked like their was a very busy road on the other side of the hedge. Possibly the Stillorgan Dual-Carriageway(N11). I'm only guessing tough! (Being from County Cork)

well the manager is in one of the rooms with the gardener, getting a bit of Ram treatment. The vice manager is putting more leaflets of her missing daughter in the hungry pig in case anyone has seen her head in there for a quarter pounder and the cleaner was at the wedding. That leaves the nosey worker and the silent crew to look after things.

That was a funny episode (not totally intentionally I'm sure) all your comments are gas - so spot on.

Dan the superhero came into his own and freewheeled down the rte lawns - I mean Ballintine grounds like a man on a mission - to make sure Robbie wouldn't be arrested again for maiming someone - although in this case Trigger deserved it -

When Carol asked for Norah's help after being attacked by trigger - I was sure Norah would have at the very least wiped some of the blood away - Jesus - even dabbed a bit of foundation over the bruises -

Meanwhile Zumo, Deco and "Greg" Denzo assume a very good comedy act - enjoyed those scenes

The hammy American xwife of Wayne's was OTT but in fairness she belted out that song despite her vpl showing

The rest of it was a mix up between bad direction and bad camera work - it's no wonder Trigger ended up in a hedge, face down.

All the time, though, I was thinking Norah would run into Trigger and announce he was Robbie's Daaaaaa - but that obvious soap moment never transpired. Missed opportunity?

Could the directors, writers, producers and actors sit and watch that episode and not say to themselves "what the actual f*ck was that?"

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,332 ✭✭✭Cormdogg

How are Deco and Zumo tough guys? They're not 6 foot between them! I like Denzo, more of him. Is he in the run or what? No love/hate at the wedding?

I really miss Zumo. Great character and very good actor who is doing well on the theatre front.

I always thought it would have been a great story to make him gay. He never had any sort of girlfriend on the show and that hard man edge would have made it an interesting story.

The whole episode was utterly bizarre, like a cross between an episode of Father Ted and Love Hate.

I think Carol turning up at the altar looking like the Bride of Frankenstein was the biggest LOL moment (among many).

That was one strange "intense" dance at the end , bride and groom dancing around bloodied and bruised (nobody bats an eye except Deegan who copped them from his table). Bizarre .

Agree they should never have put Dan in a wheelchair . Having him sitting looking depressed outside Spar one day and whizzing across lawns acting like robocop the next is just weird . Waste of a character , they don't know what to do with him anymore.

I'm thinking the venue could of been rose dale house near dun laoighaire but not 100% if 'the Ballintyne' looked a bit grander

I don't think anyone else posted about this yet, haven't had a chance to watch it myself but here ye go, an insight into the dramatic genius that was the double wedding...

Who was meant to walk Carol up the aisle? seemed like Nora was a last minute choice, she also didn't seem to have anyone from her side at the wedding. Ama being a bridesmaid for Kerri-Ann was a bit strange, I've never noticed them in any scenes together.

I'd say they did but I'd imagine there was a joint being passed around and/or some poitin and they thought it was passable.

FWIW I think the comedy/sweetness of Decco and Kerry-ann was a good foil to the darker Robbie and Carol stuff

Can you imagine the scenario? Greasey up in court for assault on Trigger. The Judge: So this man raped and pimped out your wife as a child, turned up at your business multiple times and threatened you and your wife, extorted money from you, assaulted your wife - his daughter on your wedding day, then arrived uninvited at your wedding and made more threats and threatened you with a glass bottle. You disarmed him and gave him a few slaps? Hhhmmm well I'll cite the case of Stripey vs the counter vs mumbles and give you life in prison. Can't wait! In reality you could severely assault 50 random people including a few Garda and still never serve a day in prison

As usual I'd say there will be loads of predictable lying and cover ups by Robbie, Carol , Dan and Wayne over the next few weeks/months that will no doubt be almost seen as worse than the crime itself by deegan.

All shot on RTE grounds down by the RTE sports and social club.

Dancing Donna walking out the door of the ballatyne to get the drinks reminded me of watching the pedigree limousine bulls at the Tullamore show.

And how the hell did Robbie literally meet NOBODY when he roughly escorted Trigger from the tent all the way to the gardens of the hotel. A double wedding and he didn't pass a single person and there is no way nobody noticed him grabbing Trigger from the table and dragging him away. Only in Soap Land.

The marquee wasn't exactly overflowing with guests either

I think it'll come down to the gobsh*te Wayne not being able to keep his mouth shut
That was some kick to the head!

The three bridesmaids gushing and gasping was like something out of grease, awful cringey stuff
