Katy and her captor are back next week. Her kidnapper torments her by slipping newspaper clippings about Eoghan and the trial and Debbie sleeping with someone else through to her cell and she demands to know what is going on in the outside world. Jesus, this good kidnapper bad kidnapper is really played out. Wrap up now please, don't drag out until Christmas

With the above in mind this narrows it down to
Ciaran Love/Hate after the scene with Eoghan, him and Rose tonight
. Or that's what we are lead to believe.

Cheers. Just listened to it very interesting. But I don't think the guy ray Cleer is the only person who has watched every single episode from day one. I know at least half a dozen myself. And also most of the posters on this site as well..

There are some big stories coming to a head here. This Dermot one is handled poorly but the fallout from this deal with Niamh will be anything but. So we get to see Dermot get a sharp pain tonight. The fact that he is so calm and does not seem upset about his diagnosis is unusual but for now anyway they have seem to have gone down the road that this is not a fake diagnosis. A magic donor or a misdiagnosis could yet be on the cards who knows but one way or another I feel Dermot is going to survive this and his main problem will be an angry and possibly violent Paul.

Whatever about fake diagnosis, misdiagnosis or real diagnosis, it seems to be clear that they are setting up a financial professional misconduct storyline. And on a massive scale. Niamh will dither about it and will be torn between sympathy for Dermot and glimpses of Paul being a wonderful father to his youngest daughter who she will recognise needs him. Dermot cannot be stopped from doing what he does and has committed himself to what amounts to stealing 30% of Paul's money. Dermot will find out (transplant, misdiagnosis, whatever) that he is not going to die afterall and faces a whole load of problems he didn't bank on living to see.

Dermot needless to say if he finds a donor (good chance that this is where they are going) and then is on the mend and Paul finds out about what he has done, it could well be an angry Paul and not liver disease that puts Dermot at death's door in a hospital and then Niamh telling Paul that Dermot is recovering from a liver transplant! That would be a typical FC plot conclusion of the like we have seen in the past. The fallout from this will be another prolonged Paul/Niamh Love/Hate relationship. Speaking of Love/Hate: Paul has shown he could try and hit Michael with iron bars Fran the Man style when he found out about Niamh's affair. Think of how angry he will be when he releases Dermot fleeced him of his money! Dermot is in for a rough ride and he will wish he was dead!

Anyone who thinks Dermot is always this decent, innocent type think again! He was fairly devious in politics I recall. This side of him is what the then idealist Jo knocked out of him. Now he does not care about anything other than his children and will do anything to secure their future. This is almost like a Breaking Bad meets Dallas story.

Eoghan's irrational foregone conclusion he is going to prison and his couldn't care less if it goes like this attitude is more convincing than Dermot's post diagnosis persona. He is a good actor. He probably won't get prison but how will he react to finding out about his wife and his best friend having an affair?

This Katy storyline is coming back next week and between the spoiler predictions and a scene from tonight's episode, it seems there is only one person now who could provide certain information that is supposed to be said to Katy next week.

I don't remember much about Ciaran Love/Hate's early scenes other than he showing up in the pub and something with Jane. Can anyone answer how he got to know Emmett? Did he know Emmett from before or did they just become friends in Carrigstown?

They just got to know each other when love/hate moved to Carrigstown.

I think it's realistic enough the way Eoghan is reacting, sometimes people always expect the worst to happen.

When did Dermot even have chemo? Surely he'd at least need to take time off of work! And side-effects! He looks a bit pale and that's it?

I think he had it once!

For a successful businessman, Paul is the dumbest person ever. He's freaking out about being sent threatening texts by a mystery person and it hasn't dawned on him that his wife is looking shifty every time he walks into the room and more importantly, spends all her time talking to Hughie who she never even glanced at until about a month ago.

It's so obvious that Dermot will make a 'miraculous' recovery having taken Paul for every penny he can, but as a result now be in huge trouble over it.

It was nice seeing Emmett & Eoghan not fighting and trying to get along better,
Like Comrdogg said it would have been nice if they gave each other a hug even a handshake would have been good. Fair City needs to balance more happy moments there's too much misery in it at the moment

Did Emmett lose money to Ciaran in a poker game in Robbie's pub and then stole from Ciaran to pay him back :P next Ciaran was Paul's new mechanic

Both, same time on a bed of Paul's cash; a Christmas tree in need of lighting will feature
