    Can anybody recommend a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Limerick area please?

    Is there an specialist area of psychiatry you need? your gp should be able to help refer you to an appropriate psych.

    Ideally the person should have experience in dealing with anxiety disorders in adults

    Brian O'Keeffe is a good man.He's a consultant psychologist attached to TeVere Day Hospital, Shelbourne Road and also has a private practice in Barrington Street. He would specialise in areas of treatment not involving the prescribing of medication such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness. Anxiety disorders are best treated in this manner. I speak not as a medic but as someone who suffers with such issues.

    There are very few in private practice. Dr Corby at the University Hospital.

    Depends if you want to go public or privately.

    Again your GP would refer you to them.
