Rainfall: 93.1mm (238% of the LTA) - it's that wet already
Mean temperature: 6.5c (-1.7c below the LTA)
Sunshine: 36 hours (25% of the LTA) (it should be around 40% of the LTA by now)

As you can see, April 2016 has gotten off to an extremely poor start with much wetter, colder and duller conditions.

It has been my second dullest start to April on record. It has been my wettest start to April on record - beating 2012. It has been my fourth coldest start to April on record - not nearly as cold as 2012 though. I want this month to be over already :mad::(.

Really great day again here near Tralee. Awoke to blue skies and barely a cloud with bright sunshine and ice on cars. Sunshine remained throughout the day and the temperature rose to 14.6C and felt relatively warm all afternoon. Still a fine evening and 11.3C with a light N'ly breeze.

No blue sky (though there are a couple) sunshine but there still has been a lot of WARM sunshine at Grange - it is STUNNING today! It feels a lot more like April now (especially compared with Monday when I had nearly 40mm of rainfall).
