Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ahh, I just spotted that whoopsadaisydoodles closed her account.

Damn, she was funny. I'll miss her.

That's a pity, hope she comes back in her own time.

Closing your account isn't always the end.

Yeah, I didn't like the singing so much. Musical shouting a la Cher, more like.

    I'd watch that.

If you think people addicted to boards posting 20/30k posts here suddenly go away then you'll be surprised.

Fair enough.... But I don't like change. I like what I know.

    :)

Best wishes to WDD where ever she may roam. :)

No, she's off the drink a long time.

    She sounds fine to me.

Isn't she a mod? Hopefully it's an April Fool's joke and she'll be back.

She is an awful singer. She can't just not sing, she is actually hard to listen to.

Yes, a woman who has forged a successful professional career and had number 1 albums and sold out tours is now declared as not being able to sing by an internet poster.

If you had of been straight you might have never made your music

    That's the dilemma

That was surely the most stupid and unfunny April Fools "jokes" I have heard! Like it wasn't even an attempt to fool people!

Not making little of her struggles, but it would nice to hear a few funny stories from her career too just for balance.

Jassus hash are miles apart in harm versus coke and alcohol. Its a shame to lump it in there with them.

23 years on the dry. Fair play but does she have to be interviewed about it all the time.

What has she done with her life since?

    No. Maybe not.

Is it a good idea going from alcoholic to not having it for 20 odd years? It's like someone eating sweets and cake every day going to be a complete health buzzite, there should be a halfway point.

Oh for sure but a lot of people can abuse cannabis and be alright once they quit. Its much easier to come off cannabis versus long term use of coke and alcohol.

For the day thats in it, she should say, "Funny story Ryan, me and Gerry Ryan were snorting lines in the RTE bathroom when we heard Dunphy banging on the door demanding a line"

it would be worth it to see the look on Tubs face

A lot of musicians say the drugs help their creative side.

A lot of musicians are full of ****.

The second you go on drugs you'll be experiencing withdrawals when you go off them, so you'll lose your reference point. You can't possibly tell which way you're more creative.

I have 4 friends that have been through treatment in Cuan Mhuire for alcoholism, 3 of them still have the odd session but it doesn't rule their lives like it used to, for 1 of them it is still the boss

It's generally a good idea for alcoholics to stop drinking alcohol.

    Can''t compare to food really.
