Bristol to Southampton?

    Hi - flying into Bristol airport and need to go onwards to Southampton - what are my options?

    Bus to Bristol Temple Meads station, train to Reading, train to Southampton Central station. Some service require a second change.

    Buying your ticket in advance will be much cheaper - but allow enough time to get from airport to station.

    When you buy your train ticket online choose "Bristol Airport (By Bus)" as the start, the bus to Templemeads will be included in it, and you just show the driver your train ticket when you get on. In my experience the buses are very reliable and quick.

    The bus is right outside the terminal door. Runs every 10 mins most of the day. Bus route number A1.
    Will take about 25/30 mins to get to Temple Meads.
    Pre-book the train ticket to include the bus ticket and reserve a seat as the Reading section can be very busy.
