    Quick question....

Coming towards end of 10 month lease and offered opportunity to stay but under new rent of an increase of €130.... Is this rent review allowed under new rules given the below from Threshold or does this only come in to effect when lease is longer than the 2 year period?...

"If you started your tenancy in 2015 then the rent cannot be reviewed until 24 months have passed so for example if the tenancy started on 2 July 2015 then the rent cannot be reviewed until at least 2 July 2017 by giving at least 90 days written notification".

    Thanks

Assuming you are a tenant and not living with the landlord in a licensee situation, then they cannot review the rent until 2 years after the commencement of the tenancy.
