Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Achilles Tendonitis

    Hi

I play gaelic football and I've had mild pain with my Achilles over the past few years which has got progressively worse each year. Last year was the worst it's ever been - to the point that warm ups were a killer and I couldn't even sprint properly. Then the next couple of days I could be just walking along and out of the blue the pain in my Achilles would be so sharp for any random step. I"be read that its notoriously slow to heal so I haven't strarted back running yet but plan to pretty soon. I can't really afford phsios/specialists but i've read insoles can help greatly. Has anyone here any experience with them or have they helped at all? Also what would be the best ones on the market? Seems to be any amount of them out there.

Insoles may help if they're related to the problem.

The money you might waste on a set of useless insoles would be better spent on a physio that would tell you how to fix the problem. They're not expensive so invest in a physio and your health.

Couldn't agree more with this post.

Nobody on this forum can tell what will fix your issue, as nobody knows what has caused it. You need to see a physio about it. As somebody who has ruptured his Achilles and also had Tendonitis just above my knee, trust me that you want to get this sorted correctly
