Any recommendations for places to buy good value men's shoes?

I've to get five pairs for a wedding & would like to keep the cost down while avoiding buying polished cardboard.

Can be bricks and mortar or online.

    Thanks

    Have you tried Samuel Windsor:

I've bought shoes from here regualrly with no problems in terms of delivery or quality. If you put something into the bakset and leave it there you will receive an email 24 hours later offering you 10% discount!

    Amazon do free returns.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html/?ie=UTF8&nodeId=200182230

an idea would be to order separate and have them sent direct to the various people to try on, and they can return them if the wrong size.

I was a groomsman once and had poor fitting shoes bought for me, the rest of the guys were the same, seems the brand was just small. We were all going around in discomfort all day, well we all kicked them off when we got to the reception & after photos. As they were properly worn you could not really return them, so they just went to waste as I could not wear them again.

If you buy them and give them to people they might just make do with ill fitting shoes rather than put you under even more hassle. If they know returning is easy & free they would be more likely.

I never think of Amazon for the likes of shoes - will check them out.
