getting old photos off a dead ipad mini 1st gen

    So basically my ipad only displays the black screen with apple logo. It's old, and its time has come but, i want to get my 5000+ photos. Anyone know someone who could get them off the dead ipad? or could anyone reading this solve it? as i've tried everything in my capabilities

    Was iCloud Photo Library enabled? Can you see them at iCloud.com?

    I've two 1st gen iPad minis in daily use. They are absolutely fine and loads of life left in them.

    Did you try to force a reset? Power button plus home button together until you see the apple logo then let go. Or a longer hold until you get a connect to iTunes message.

    Are you sure it's getting a charge?
