Longer than one waits for an answer on boards.ie before putting up a duplicate thread.

Generally I'd give it a week.

I'd say its not normal and that your offer was rejected but they didn't bother to tell you. Why not ring them back.

We were told when put in offer it had to be advertised for 4 weeks before offer accepted, so we would have to wait a week. waited 2 and contacted again was told by office we where still only offer and they would get him to contact us. waited another week and told same and again today saying we still only offer and she get him to contact us .. still no word

Is it a bank sale? If so 4-6 weeks isn't abnormal.

There could be legal issues that they are trying to clear before engaging with you.

I'd send a message to the aunctioneer that you want to know whats going on or you will withdraw your offer.
