Apply to Haven and AIB for Mortgage

I'm wondering if it's possible to apply to both Haven and AIB for a mortgage at the same time?

Haven via a broker and AIB directly.

Any risks or advantages and disadvantages to doing this?

Go through one only, as AIB, EBS and Haven are one in the same, they do not have separate systems and if you apply through AIB and then Haven at a later time, then it will show up on their screen. Add to that, when an application is submitted to one of these entities, e.g. Haven then it may be underwritten by someone in AIB as they all share the same floor space.
No difference in rates either so go with one option.

Just to add that if you are declined by one you will not get approval from any of the other two so you are wasting your time. Go to a good experienced broker who do not charge fees and who will present your case to the lender that is most suitable to your circumstances as all lenders differ regarding criteria and policy.
