Spieth has the heart of a lion

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Well here's the chance for the first of the birdies he needs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,372 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Unbelievable Spieth. If he wins this it'll just show amazing bottle

It'd be up there with the finest comebacks in the history of sport.

Think you might be right. He hit a very nervy putt to just cosy it down to the hole, should have gone for it

Edit, Speith missing putt on 16 has just given it to him surely

    Game over

Misses it, and the par putt is no gimme either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 892 ✭✭✭Ben1977

Never saw him missing that putt

    He'll hole it

Nope. He would have earlier in the day though.

Hopefully skew the next drive so I can go to bed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,080 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

    Spieth needs 2 bird's for a play-off, can't see that happening now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Needs two birdies in the last two holes to survive. Big ask.

There's no way he birdies them both.

The engraver can get to work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,541 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Birdie 17, eagle 18...who knows anymore

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,592 ✭✭✭elastico

2 birds on 17 all day. 14 on 18. Big ask.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,084 ✭✭✭✭Seve OB

The engraver can get to work.

How do you engrave a jacket ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

God DJ has missed some amount of putts. He had a massive chance.

17 is a really hard hole to birdie today with that pin position. Speith has to put tee shot long and on the fairway

Do they have a load of them available in different sizes or how does it work?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,080 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

No birdie yet on 17 this week for Spieth.

You probably have to give your measurements on the entry form!

Still they must have a selection on standby in Woosnam to Els sizes

On his way to the jacks behind 16 not knowing the leaderboard :-)

I liked when he said he'd been aiming for -6

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,520 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Well if we needed confirmation, there it is.

Well done Danny, that was great entertainment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,080 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

Can't hole that bunker shot, can he?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Requires a holed bunker shot now anyway. Stranger things have happened I suppose.

I read this recently. I think they try to find a member's jacket similar in size to the winner. I'll try find the link to confirm.

    Edit: Found it
During Sunday’s final round Augusta National officials eyeball the top contenders’ sizes and gather similarly built members’ jackets that can be used in the ceremony. After the photo op, the member gets his jacket back, and the champion receives a custom jacket a few weeks later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

    Congrats Danny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That was pretty poor from Spieth from the bunker.

Wish they'd stop showing Danny on the phone to his wife. Poor taste.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,569 ✭✭✭✭ProudDUB

Ok, that ain't right....shoving the cameras in his face, when he is trying to talk to his family. I know he is about to be crowned the Masters champ and all, but jeez, give the man some privacy.
