    I was merely agreeing that as per the OP's suggestion Top Gun was homoerotic and gave an outlandishly homoerotic example to illustrate my point.

    I don't know how that's homophobic, Top Gun is certainly homoerotic as is the activity I described. I have seen sexual acts discussed on boards without infraction and wondered why this is "uncivil" or indeed homophobic.
