Feels strange now to hear of others going for a drink

Had just one glass of wine (reluctantly )this year,at a friends 40th birthday. It feels strange now to hear of others going out for drinks. Do others feel similar? And start to resent Irelands boozy culture ?. The benefits, well more than a stone lighter and improved blood pressure. Go out only if there's a genuine occasion, which may be in a restaurant rather than a pub, maybe. How have others got on ?☺

I don't resent anyone drinking, its there choice, I wont stay around people who are getting more and more intoxicated,I just move on to other company or leave :-) I socialise a lot, mostly in restaurants, I don't live in Ireland so maybe the attitude to you when you don't drink is not a big concern, here its no big deal.
For me the health benefits were huge in every way possible.

Why? I don't drink but still go out. Me and friends like to try new towns and the nightlife nearly once a month. I have a good time wherever we go.

Everyone has a choice, it's a personal decision. I would never dis-encourage someone from drinking alcohol, it's not very nice IMO. We all have different paths in life.

Many other countries in the EU are on par with Ireland in terms of alcohol consumption if not more.

It's beneficial no doubt. My BMI is the lowest it's ever been just around 20, your health is improved tenfold. Little things like you hair, skin and nails look much better. Energy levels are improved and sleeping becomes easier.
