    They come in PDF format.

Print them out yourself or use an Internet cafe .

They price them high to discourage people requesting the printouts.

Similar to insurance companies giving ridiculous quotes for certain categories- they don't want the business.

    Not possible I am afraid.
I shut down my BOI account at the start of the year (after being with them for 14 years, including working their!), and moved to Permanent TSB. I now want to get a home improvement loan so need 6 months of bank statements (November and December which would be with BOI).
BOI Claim they cant email pdf etc, so no choice but to pay.

    Ah ok.

If that's the case then the bank are being totally unreasonable.

    Thread vindicated. -:)

    :) Thanks.
I just needed somewhere to rant really.

They did say "We'll certainly pass on your feedback", helpful!

Issue a Data Protection request for your account details and transactions.
Max they can charge is €6.35

    I like that!
It would mean not having to give BOI a cent?
Would they have to give me statements?

But they will take a few weeks.

They should be able to email a PDF file though.

If you worked there, maybe get an old colleague to do it, or talk nicely to someone at the customer service desk. :)

I suspect that all you'll get under a DPA request is name, rank and serial no., I seriously doubt that transactional data is covered.

Can you not just print them off banking 365?

Ex-customers have no access to that, as has already been detailed here.
