Looking at many of the options out there with rubbish undepowered 1.5 and 1.6 diesel engines it's very disappointing. So I'm looking for something with good Bhp and power as I don't want a big underpowered car. Any reccomendations?

S-Max Titanium X Sport. my 2.0tdi is 163Bhp, if you want faster I think they do a 200Bhp or more possibly, have to say, nicest 7 seater I've seen

    XC90 T8 - 320ps Petrol with 80ps Electric motor back up.

Should go like a hot snot, and do 149 mpg (won't do 149mpg)

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Budget up to 25K. That's about it really.

You should be able to get a 2011-2012 and VRT it for that money.

Got an smax titanium 2011. 2.0L 163ps last year. Rips of poke. Had three kids two adults, boot packed to the throat and a bike carrier on the back up to the north coast recently. An absolute pleasure to drive and not bad mpg, Ave 45mpg. Can't beat it for comfort and gadgets I need. Would definitely recommend!

Volvo xc90 D5 if you don't want a people carrier. Think they have about 180 or 200bhp:

198 bhp and with 4WD to actually let you keep that power down on the road.
