Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone have any experience with these? I'm not interested in hearing about bland materials and interior design just if it's a good car or not.
    Is it economical
    Is it reliable
    Any problems which aren't minor

Please none of these "mechanics" or know it alls who basically haven't a clue

Probably best putting in buying section as lads in detailing surely wouldn't know anything.....

There a grand car but honestly overrated they aren't the best car in the world.

Toyota has a huge following here in Ireland.

    Are they economical?
    Reliable?
    Any major problems not minor?

Please don't comment If you're a know it all who really knows nothing or a "mechanic"

I had one for a couple of years It averaged 6.3 l/100. I found it grand to drive - didn't like the saloon boot though after coming from a hatchback though.

I traded it in for a Verso with the same engine and box. At 4 years and 75,000 km it had to have injectors replaced. Would have been €1600 except Toyota picked up the tab as I had a FSH and Longmile Toyota argued my case to Toyota Ireland. Having said that, it was the only thing to go wrong with either car in 100,000 km combined distance.

Electric handbrake isn't great but none from that era are. Rear brake pads and discs are dear too. Apart from that they are great on diesel grand to drive and reliable. A lot of taxi men have them for a reason.
