    Don't think you'll get much help around here regarding getting TV content illegally. Why can't the family help her out financially?

    Why not go with Saoirview, that's free.

    Do you have sky yourself? If so how about letting her use your sky go?

    There is also the issue of broadband, for what you are describing she would need it and broadband is as expensive as a TV subscription.

    Get a combi box that does Saorview and SAT FTA.

    All channels can be put into one listing and organised with her preferences.

    @4652,

    Please read the stickey at the top of this forum regarding subscription TV services etc. and take this as a useful warning, it is better to read the Charters and notices before posting on a Boards forum, particularly the ones that say "Read before Posting" in the title.

    All,

    Thanks to regulars for measured responses, much appreciated.
