Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stefan Freund called it before the game when he said Sahko and Lovren are the weak links in this Liverpool team. He forgot to include Moreno though.

Milner and Can have been largely passengers

Can has been ok, Milner not so bad going forward but I would prefer to have Allen instead of Lallana there for more balance.

Ah come on lads...hit the bloody target!

****ing hell, some ball. Put Lovren on corners

Odd game. Liverpool have most of the control now but dortmund still look like they could score at any time

They're just so dangerous on the break. They really are some side.

As good as Dortmund going forward, they feel weak at the back - it'd be worse only for Hummels playing like he has a cigar built into his mouth.

This team needs a 25 year old Stevie Gerrard unfortunately.

Have we hit the target yet?

    Liverpool wasting so many chances

We're making plenty of chances - Dortmund aren't actually playing all that well aside from in our 3rd (of course, that's all they need)

We just can't put it away. That ****ing Lallana disaster will haunt my dreams tonight!

Liverpool can't play the ball past the Dortmund front 2...

No added time with 2 goals?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,294 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

2 goals and no extra time ?

I'll never know what Joe Allen has to do to start under Klopp, tbh. Better get himself and Sturridge on at half time

We need a second half of Olympiakos proportions.

Kagawa is miles better than Coutinho to be fair

    All hype

Regardless of the final score games like this can be character building if the team responds well as they have, at the moment Coutinho is the one showing the least unfortunately.

The inclusion of firmino ahead of him tonight is shocking were getting ripped apart every time Dortmund come forward

Weigl looks quite handy indeed, type of player Loew should use to freshen up the national team.

Liverpool have actually created a lot of chances over the first leg and first 45 minutes of the second leg but only one goal is scant reward for it all.

Is Aubemayang still crap, seem to remember a few neutral fans saying it last week.

  • Good first half

Hopefully Dortmund score a few more, although not getting the hype that surrounds them from a certain few

    A good side, nothing more

We should have it back to 2-2, wasted chances will haunt us

Always a disaster in central midfield. His close control isn't good enough under pressure. He can be OK wide at times but head scratching how he got picked ahead of Allen tonight.

Enjoyable game of ball. My god, Dortmund are awful at the back though, loads of chances for Liverpool if they had a half decent player on the end of them.

3 goals without reply is a massive ask and it could get messy if Klopp throws caution to the wind. Definitely more chances in it for Liverpool, Sturridge should really be coming on at HT.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

If Dortmund come out and dazzle you with their football fair enough but they just turned up ready to play and it took Liverpool being, to all intents and purposes, knocked out of the tie before they stepped onto the pitch.

    It's irritating.

Massive gaps in defence, offside line all over the ****ing shop and Dortmund players being allowed to stroll past 5 and 6 of our players at a time.
I can't believe a Klopp side would start so lethargically against an opponent like this.

We've been grand since then but you can't just give teams a 10 minute head start to do whatever they like.

Milner is a necessary evil in games where we're outmatched and need to win physical battles but the sooner he stops playing for us because we can replace him with someone who can do what he does and also looks like a professional footballer the better.

Like last week he has looked totally out of his depth. And with the captain's armband on and all.
Fine against Stoke. Not so much against the best team we'll play all year.

Milner can't play in a two and is better wide. Lallana has been brutal and needs to be hooked. Allen on for him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Origi is going to be epic - far better than that Martial fella.

I believe he only cost €10m too, you could buy five Origis for the one Martial

Agreed. Stick him out wide and Allen in center. More control of the game then. They are over running us and then our defense is just hoofing the ball back to them.
