That opening red was so brave.

What was that break by Dawkins to 12-11? I missed the final tally.

    Break of 80.

Ah stop, and after that second red he really deserves this.

Thought that was going to run behind the pink!

Absolutely incredible nerve shown by Fu there to clear up and take the win after all that had happened in the previous frames. I would love to see a Fu vs Ding final now.

Some break to win it in the circumstances, fair play Marco.

That being said I expect Selby to beat him comfortably in semi final.

Shame we didn't get a final frame decider, still fantastic break by Fu, pressure he felt must have been crazy

Have to say Eurosports coverage is excellent even the analysis with Jimmy White and I think Ronnie is joining them tomorrow is great!

This would hardly be the first time two Asian players met in a major tournament final? Genuine question..

Think Ding and Fu met in a Masters final a few years ago

Edit: Yep in 2011. Ding won 10-4

I don't know tbh but it would be a big milestone for the sport if it were to happen.

EDIT: Ah so it isn't a first, never knew about that.

I'd guess a Ding-Fu final would be absolutely massive and probably smash the global tv audience for a Crucible final, one of them alone might even achieve that, and also increase the clamour in certain quarters for moving the whole shebang to the east.

I gave up watching Snooker after the cheat John Higgins was outed and then allowed return. Asian finalist might be a draw but I've grown too cynical :(
