Was so sorry to see Ronnie lose that game, really wanted him to win. He started to apply himself a bit too late..
From the rest glad for Selby and Ding..

It's almost as if he's going out of his way to show everyone how little he cares, like it's some sort of badge of honour. 12 years of wasted talent

Ya know, it just occurred to me that you're completely right. I've only been watching snooker for around 10 years and I've always been rooting for Williams. His half arsed approach was always kind of a novelty and it's this approach that has wasted such a talent.

And I reckon Hawkins will win this match, Ding will win the tournament...

BBC Red Button. It's a free-to-air channel on satellite.

Thank you both, Eurosport2 has the other match (remote was on the other table :D).
(This would be a good opportunity to use picture in picture feature of my smart telly if I would know how lol)

Fu one away now. Gutted for Barry, I thought he had this, seems to be unlikely now though

Tables are defo slower this year? as opposed to last year when they were too fast and balls were flying from one side to another.. wondering how's that possible... shouldn't fiber be the same?

Be good to see mc manus knock higgins out. To go into the semis at 45!. Could you imagine. With the young hot shots coming agressively through the 90s like hendry, ronnie, williams and higgins himself for years now it was assumed you were totally finished by 40. But there are a few making a nonsense of this now. Ray reardon was 45 when he won his 6th title.

Wow! I'm really rooting for Hawkins now. Fu doesn't deserve it if he can't close it out.

    The drama!
Evenings like this are why I love the world championship.

    Come on the hawk!

What was that break by Dawkins to 12-11? I missed the final tally.

Delighted for McManus. To make the World semis at the age of 45 is some achievement.

If Fu wins this, being forced to fight for this might affect him in the first session tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭bajer101

That opening red was so brave.

    Break of 80.

Ah stop, and after that second red he really deserves this.

Thought that was going to run behind the pink!

Absolutely incredible nerve shown by Fu there to clear up and take the win after all that had happened in the previous frames. I would love to see a Fu vs Ding final now.

Some break to win it in the circumstances, fair play Marco.

That being said I expect Selby to beat him comfortably in semi final.

Shame we didn't get a final frame decider, still fantastic break by Fu, pressure he felt must have been crazy

Have to say Eurosports coverage is excellent even the analysis with Jimmy White and I think Ronnie is joining them tomorrow is great!

This would hardly be the first time two Asian players met in a major tournament final? Genuine question..

Think Ding and Fu met in a Masters final a few years ago

Edit: Yep in 2011. Ding won 10-4

I don't know tbh but it would be a big milestone for the sport if it were to happen.

EDIT: Ah so it isn't a first, never knew about that.
