    My old computer died on me and am now trying to transfer my Email a/c. I am being asked for a code - where would I find this?

    Did you register a mobile number or an alternative recovery email address?

    Transfer e-mail acc?

    Would the 'code' possibly be your password?

    If it were that easy I think I would have found it by now. Have tried all different passwords that I may have used - still no luck. I am being asked for a number.

    You haven't given much info here. Is web based email (google, outlook, yahoo...) or do use an email client on your pc? Did you contact the email provider? Do you use two factor authentication?
