    after two weeks of phone calls, and numerous emails, I still havent received any substantive information about my issue with not being able to receive email notifications

    The leaf is great , nissan , however , sucks as usual

    Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but have you enabled the notifications in your You+ account AND in the car itself. For me, it had to be enabled in both places and I get all the notifications.

    nissanconnectEV and there is no you+ account, on the website there is no option to enter in anything about notifications , on the AP there is and I have done that

    upgraded to Version 3.0.6 of the app , still no success

    The main point is that it has to be enabled in the car as well... In several places.

    in MY2016, you can only have email notifications once you setup a list of charge points that it is to generate email notifications on.

    Maybe MY16 has a different backend system to MY15 so take this with a pinch of salt.....

    Setting the location, like you have done, is for the charge reminder email only. The charge start/stop emails are not dependent on that location AFAIK.

    In addition to setting the location I also had to enable the emails in another menu and also I turned on "Data Upload" settings. I dont know if the Data Upload setting is just for uploading the usage stats or whether it also includes info like charging stop/start.

    Anyway, with these settings on MY15 all the notifications work for me.

    I also notice that some MY16 users in the UK are complaining that its not working for them either on the speakev forum so maybe the MY16 has a general problem.

    One general comment I'd have on the charge reminder email.... it annoys me that it doesnt take time into account when it sends the email. I come home from work and it sends me an email that I havent connected the charger. I dont connect it immediately because I know I have more journeys to take that day. I'd prefer if it had a time associated with it..... I charge at night rate electricity so I'd like to get a reminder if it is, say, passed 11pm, and I have not plugged it in and I am at home.... getting the email at 7pm isnt much use to me really.
