Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, size matters, has to be at least 5.5"

Are we still talking about phones?

Cuckoo birds steal other birds nests and make them their own. Isn't that a good analogy for AH'ers coming in here?

Cuckoos don't steal nests, quite the opposite, they lay eggs and feck off, then let the other birds hatch them.

Do you like you can remember stuff you were taught in primary school? :)

Not as bad a Michael Jackson.

Which song is more overrated...Wonderwall or Hey Jude?

    I'd say Hey Jude!

Doesn't the chorus of Voice of the Beehive's "don't call me baby" sound remarkably like the chorus of "manic monday"?

(You must check if you don't know the songs before answering)

I had a listen, I wouldn't have noticed it hadn't you said it but there is a slight similarity alright. I think it's the notes on the guitar doing it.

Did Led Zeppelin rip off the opening for Stairway to heaven?

Led Zeppelin ripped off more than one song I'd say. But where there's a hit, there's a Writ.

Are there any acts or bands that are out today that will be remembered in 20 years time?

A few maybe but people will be wondering how the hell they were ever popular.

Do you think these lyrics from the new Corrs single will go down in the pantheon of great pop lyrics?

Now I can see the blue skies
    I can see paradise, paradise
I can feel the warm sun on my skin
    Oh paradise, paradise
    Cause it's my life
    I'll do what I like
    Yeah, it's my life
    I do what I like
    I do what I like

Peter Shop Boys have a great song with a great chorus called "left to my own devices". Is the following not worse than your Corrs song?

"I get out of bed at half past ten
phone up a friend who's a party animal
Turn on the news and drink some tea
Maybe if you're with me we'll do some shopping

One day I'll read or learn to drive a car
If you pass the test, you can beat the rest
but I don't like to compete or talk street, street, street
I can pick up the best from the party animal..

    ...

    ...

Pick up a brochure about the sun
Learn to ignore what the photographer saw
I was always told that you should join a club
stick with the gang if you want to belong

I was a lonely boy, no strength, no joy
in a world of my own at the back of the garden
I didn't want to compete or play out on the street
for in a secret life I was a Roundhead general"

I think the verse is worse...it sounds like a 7 years olds attempt at rapping...

I get out of bed at half past ten
phone up a friend who's a party animal
Turn on the news and drink some tea
Maybe if you're with me we'll do some shopping

    Here's my attempt...

Gonna write some lyrics, put them in a song
Maybe if you like them, you can sing along

Would you like to add a verse?

We were a fresh young crew,
    full of attitude,
    posting in after hours,
    for hours and hours

But then the mods came along,
    and ruined our song,
    "no more chat"
    and that was that....

What would the name of our band be?

Indeed, however I do not perceive people, who the media deem to be celebrities, to be so.
