Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Road to Celtic Throwdown is on again this year. It is a series of events leading up to the main CPT Celtic Throwdown. This year has more events on than last year with some having all 4 main games and some only supporting Smash and Melee. This was done to spread the road to series over to multiple communities and help incorporate more of the wider community events into it. Facebook groups have more details but this is the list as of today.

April 23rd Smash the Pale (Smash & Melee)

May 7th AsOne Summer Series 1 (Smash, Melee, SFV, MKX)
    https://www.facebook.com/events/1589844551326372/

May 21st Fight House Galway (Smash, SFV, MKX)

June 11th (NHSSB). (Smash & Melee)

June 25th Smash The Pale (Smash & Melee)

July 2nd Rebellion @ Roundy, Cork (Smash & SFV)
    https://www.facebook.com/events/1578538235808784/

July 9th Breaking Boundaries (Smash & Melee)

Aug 13th AsOne Summer Series 2 (Smash, Melee, SFV, MKX)

Every road to events will place the top 8 and report the standing to me. This will take the following form:

    1st - 12 Points
    2nd - 10 Points
    3rd - 8 Points
    4th - 6 Points
    5th - 2 Points (x2 joint)
    7th - 1 Point (x2 joint)

These will cumulatively add up at the end of the series this people will be given a seeded position in the draw. This will be true for anyone who places with any points. The only exception to this is for SFV. For this game, we are taking the top 8 and giving them seed places and then offering seeded position to players with CPT points and who have registered. This is to reflect the pro tour and to give the Irish players and opportunity to have these favoured positions as well.
This series is intended to build some hype and encourage us all to travel and play other and better players. You don't need to go to all to get seeded but the more that you do the greater the chance etc. There will be a larger international contingent at this years Celtic Throwdown and we want to really showcase the Irish playing talent for all our games. If Tekken 7 was out, it would also be on the series but it should feature at CT2016.

Our hope is that you all enjoy the series, support it where you can, take part, get better (Get on my level like), bring others, defeat your foe, gain the points, and defend the island come September.
