Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2016/0419/782865-high-court-suspended/
The High Court has declared the law governing the power of the courts to activate suspended sentences to be unconstitutional.

Luckily Justice Moriarty has given some grace period for the legislation to be amended and passed. 2 weeks to get sorted.
The judge has adjourned making his final orders in the matter for two weeks, to allow all sides to consider his findings.

Lets consider for a moment what happens if we don't have a Government in place by the date, can the Dáil pass legislation without an acting leader?

I expect that it should be straightforward enough to get them all to understand that this is a situation that requires a bit more action and a little less politicking than normal.

As judges had warned about this before you'd hope work was being done on this pre-election. Looks a serious enough matter so I'd imagine FF and a couple of the other parties will do consensus politics and throw out a few more of the soundbites we've heard over the last few weeks.

Will concentrate a few minds though. With Brexit coming up we need proper ministers in there, acting ministers can only do that. Other stuff needs attention to, the free second year for pre school child care seems a mess atm.
