Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Straight red for the tackle.

Proper order, stamped and then leaned into it. Scumbag.

Hopefully not too serious but doesn't look good for Origi. Awful timing.

    Hope Origi is ok

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Superb decision.

Everton coach rightly telling Mori off for that stupid pulling of the badge.

    Heartbreaking for Origi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,689 ✭✭✭bur

Something like that has been waiting to happen. Everton playing like dogs from the first minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Had to see the 3rd replay to see how that was a red card but very good decision there.
    Imagine his assistant helped him.

Pure dirt of a tackle that!

Poor Derek hope its not serious. Seeing as he's coming into form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Bad tackles (not accidents) that cause injury should get more than a 3 game ban IMO.

gutted for the lad i hope its not too bad

Maybe don't send them out to kick anything in sight in the first place.

I dont think he tried to "do him", he was just late but it was a red card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,479 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    What a prrick.
    So deliberate too
And holding his shirt going off as if to say ''that was for you''
    SAD

    ****ing scumbag

Absolutely gutted for Origi. Hope it's not to serious though.

Ankle is in a brace already :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

leaves the pitch like he's a hero too, idiot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,945 ✭✭✭dogbert27

Man that looks bad. Worse in slow motion. Think he's gone for the season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

That's annoying, hopefully it's a week off and nothing more. Play Ojo, Ibe and Firmino up top against Newcastle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Nasty piece of work that lad. Tapping the badge after that only makes it worse.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,633 ✭✭✭✭Buford T. Justice XIX

    Jesus, that's a ****ty tackle.

Just as he was coming into form too.

He'll probably miss the Euros as well as the rest of the season now, gutted for him, he was looking like a superstar in the making lately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,479 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Look deliberate .
The tackle lingered too long for me!!
    He keep foot in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

I dont think he tried to "do him", he was just late but it was a red card.

    His reaction would suggest different

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,799 ✭✭✭corwill

I dont think he tried to "do him", he was just late but it was a red card.

Maybe not on initial contact, but he seemed to actually bore in once he realised that he was in a position to do so, like a second movement.

    Disgusting.

If Origi is injured we're back in the middle of a striker crisis again.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

That's his Euros done with, anyway. Looked nasty enough that I am just hopeful he can come back and be fit again before next season.

Such a pity when he was just pushing on, ffs.

If I had to guess.... wild guess.... fractured tibia bone.

    I sure hope I'm wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,510 ✭✭✭hadepsx

Dirty fecker. God I hope origi is ok and hasn't suffered any lasting injury from that nasty tackle.

Pure prick challenge, f*cking clown. I'd love to shove that badge down his throat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

I dont think he tried to "do him", he was just late but it was a red card.

You don't tackle the ball by planting your foot like he did. Knew exactly what he was doing.

How is Milner so awful at set piece delivery but great at whipping in a cross from open play?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

When Mori looks back at that challenge, and the gripping of the badge as he trooped off, he won't be too proud of himself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

That was an awful challenge on Origi. Ref got it spot on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,289 ✭✭✭✭rob316

****ing scumbag stamped and leaned in, knew exactly what he was doing. Origi is done for the season, that was ligament damage.

It's better to get a good delivery on a moving ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,479 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Worst tackle since sliced bread.

    I think it's the rolling ball.. .

Hopefully he was taken off as a precaution......would be a damn shame if it was a serious injury, he was really hitting form......the tackle was a real nasty one, knew exactly what he was doing also......dirt....
