Shopto.net are very reliable, they usually ship the day before or on the day of release. There's no set routine, it just depends on the game.

But I'd order from Base.com, they're great. And they're cheaper, so is their postage.

Generally, them and thegamecollection are probably the 2 best sites around. I ordered The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 from Base, it was due for release on 7th June and it arrived that very day.

A few days ago Edge Magazine gave this 7/10.

Now a German site has given it an 8.

    http://www.ingame.de/reviews/test-tokyo-mirage-sessions-fe/

The review embargo hasn't been lifted yet. I expect it will end at 4PM today if previous Nintendo games are any indication.

Edit: The review embargo ended at 2PM.

So far seeing a range from 6 to 8. Mainly 7's and 8's with the odd 6.

Seems the reviews are trending upwards, average of 84 on metacritic now which is nice.

It looks nutty. I was intrigued but no off-TV + already playing fire emblem, I don't think this one's for me :(

Why isn't there an option to hook up a 2nd Gamepad for TV-Independance? And when will they learn to build these oil tankers with 6001 hulls???

No, I've not bought the game. This game has p1ssed me off in so many ways. Wanted to buy the Fortissimo Edition but decided against it because of its price, the censorship, DLC, cut content, no English dub and their insistence on treating us like kids. They've done less work on this translation than most other games and yet have the cheek to ask for more money for this Collectors Edition than any bundle before it(about €85 posted). Not to mention the major headache of even finding one to buy. This is the first Collectors Edition that I haven't bought since I can't remember when.

Its reviewed well and I'll buy it when it's cheaper.

Careful now. An obscure RPG released at the end of an unpopular console's lifecycle has the potential to become hard to find.

Have a copy on the way, curious to give it a go although find myself increasingly unable to commit to massive RPGs. Will give it a whirl as I find the vibrant presentation - all those colours! - quite fetching.

Notwithstanding your other issues with the game (and if they were your deciding factors here, fair enough), if you wanted to buy the game wouldn't the easiest solution be to simply buy the standard edition? I mean, let's be honest here, there's absolutely nothing in the special edition that you can't live without.

I'm a big special edition skeptic in the first place - think very, very few if any are worth the extra money - but find it baffling somebody wouldn't buy a game they want just because of the existence of an over-expensive special edition when there's a much cheaper alternative.

How does it play? I have heard differing reports. Would love to get a physical copy but don't feel like paying a million billion for the Wii version.

Its grand, no bother with frame rates or anything like that, but if i had the choice id probably buy the wii / virtual console version as it would probably look better visually imo, i think some of the textures and the like were deresoultioned (is that a word?) for the N3ds version.

Missed a chance to buy the Fortissimo Edition from a German site yesterday. €65 plus €7 postage. Couldn't make out how to get to check-out and only got the e-mail from them this morning telling me what to do and how much it is but it's too late, out of stock. :(

Like no other this Collectors Edition has riled me.

adding a bit more to this as im about 3/4 the way in and have ran into frame rate problems, when you are fighting larger groups of enemies on screen. but nothing unplayable, just a bit of a slowdown.

What are peoples thoughts on the game? ive started this yesterday and beat the second dungeon, took me bloody ages, but i think i like the game, its quirky and very anime and found myself bopping to the music, ive never played a SMT or FE title but im presuming its a mix of both. Still have no idea how to use 'Sessions' attacks properly, i think i might be doing something wrong on that front, but im enjoying the game so far.
