    Hi,
I have recently moved jobs and as part of the package i am getting health insurance for my family.

My current provider GloHealth is saying that i cannot cancel my cover mid term only down grade it.

I have 2 months to go before my renewal date, this will cost 400 euro.

I could just cancel my DD but would prefer not to go down this route.

I can also downgrade my policy to half the price but i am still losing 200 euro.

Is there any other way around this?

Tell your new employer to delay putting you on their policy for two months and to give you the money instead?

Delay the healthcare with your new employer for two months, at least you'll save on the BIK.
Your current insurer will come after you looking for their money if you cancel.
Depends on whether that would bother you or not?
