I had a 4 month old the night of Istanbul. Was living in Bangkok at the time so "volunteered" to do the night feed as it coincided with the start of the match.

I got up in time for the start of the match (think it was around 2am Bangkok time) and as we all know the first half was a disaster. The baba had started waking up around 2am for a bottle but there was no sign of her waking that night (which kind of suited me) so I let her sleep on but at the end of the first half I decided the best course of action was to wake her up and give her the bottle so I could get back to bed and minimise the damage being done to my days work the following day. The little biddy wouldn't take the bottle so we sat alone watching the start of the 2nd half and boy was I happy we did. She started taking the bottle about 2 minutes before Stevie G scored and by the time Alonso scored I was running around the apartment with her in my arms and the bottle long gone.

Only for her I'd probably have cut my losses after the first half and gone back to bed. That's why right now she has posters of Stevie G and Luis in her bedroom and for some bizarre reason she still likes to sing the "Fernando Torres Liverpool's #9" song as I think that was her first memory of being at Anfield with me in 2010.

Happy days.

I'm not staying up for a friendly tonight though!!!

Thought it was strange to let a couple go out before getting some in.

Flanagan could of covered both sides but I guess his fitness was in doubt.
