Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't driven in a few years but am keen to start again, but I've literally no idea what car to go for.

Ideally I'd like something small and reliable, second hand and not too expensive. I had a Nissan Micra before, the engine power wasn't great so I'd like something a bit faster, but along the lines of the size of a Micra.

I hope this makes sense :o

Toyota Yaris. Low running costs, reliable and they nippy enough for their size.

It's hard to recommend a car without that key piece of info :)

Without a budget disclosed, I'd recommend a Bugatti Veyron, they're much more peppier than your old Micra

My mother has a 1.3 micra and it's punchy enough. Very very basic car but very popular, most are 1.0 which I would avoid
